Older Digital

I've been working in digital media since the early nineties. This gallery shows some of my earlier work including my first digital paintings, photo collages, expressionistic websites and bits and pieces of digital experimentation. Some of the images have arrows underneath which take you through the stages of creation.

Loving someone in middle age means knowing how frail and vulnerable we both are. Woman's Back Dancer at Window

Janet turned 50 and I wanted to touch her love of music. Mary looks both inward and outward with great vision. An 80th birthday has a lot of different faces to it.
Ruth was becoming a Canadian citizen. With tongue firmly in cheek, I thought of her as rather Venus-like. In honour of Nikki when she was moving away. This woman in her late 70s was very strong in her own way.
Here is an interpretation of my mother at 4 different ages and all the patterns that appear and reappear. This one is a time scramble - Tess age 4 with her father when he was little! This website was made in honour of a 4 year old. The goal was to tell the story almost entirely through pictures.
Sometimes I have to look at my mortality. I made this Flash website to express my complex feelings about spirituality. It was honoured with a prize from TVOntario in 1999. You'll need the sound turned on to get the full effect. I was thinking about Pop Art and thought I'd have some fun.
